Tuesday night produced mixed results for Tillamook Basketball. Tillamook High School hosted Valley Catholic, where both the mens and women's teams are ranked in the top 10. Tillamook was unable to upset Valley Catholic, with the Mens team losing 75-48, Women's losing 41-26. Tillamook Mens Basketball is currently 2-3 in league play, 11-7 overall and are ranked 14th in the 4A classification. Tillamook Womens Basketball is currently 0-5 in league play, 3-15 overall. Neah Kah Nie Basketball hosted Faith Bible. Mens Basketball topped struggling Faith Bible 63-44. Neah Kah Nie is 9-5 in league play, 12-9 overall. Women's Basketball fell to 5th ranked Faith Bible in a close battle, 36-28. Faith Bible remains undefeated in league play. Neah Kah Nie fell to 4-7 in league play, 6-12 overall. Nestucca Mens basketball hosted Delphain at home on Thursday, where they were able to come away with a win. Nestucca is currently 9-5 in league play, 11-9 overall.

Neah Kah Nie Basketball hosted City Christian Thursday at home. The women's team kicked off the double header, but fell 50-39. Neah Kah Nie currently sits in 5th place in Northwest League play. Neah Kah Nie Mens team had a rough start to the game, falling behind in the first quarter. They were able to surge back in the second quarter, going into the half up 31-29. The second half was all Neah Kah Nie basketball as they surged ahead of City Christian, winning 69-56. Neah Kah Nie currently sits in 4th place in Northwest League play. Nestucca's mens basketball team took on Life Christian at Life Christian. Nestucca was able to grab the win, 46-40 in overtime. Tillamook High School was the only county school to play at home tonight, showcasing a double header against Astoria. The mens team tipped off at 6pm. It was the 3 point shot that seemed to come into play for most of the match. Early in the match, Tillamook failed to make several 3 point shots, where Astoria excelled. With a 4-0 start, Astoria sank two 3 point shots to pull ahead. The first half remained a close battle for the lead. Tillamook went into half time with a 27-23, a lead they would keep for the rest of the game. Tillamook's scoring took off in the second half, beating Astoria 66-54. The women's team tipped off at 730. They got started on a rough track in the first quarter, having Astoria go on a 17-0 run before Tillamook was able to score a basket. Unfortunately, they couldn't make up the difference, losing to Astoria 59-17. In 2A basketball, both Nestucca and Neah Kah Nie played away. Nestucca took on Gaston High School. The double header had split results, with the mens team winning 55-43. The women's team couldn't maintain momentum from Friday's big win, falling 41-30. Neah Kah Nie played Knappa High School, with their results flipped from their south county rivals. The mens team fell to the Loggers 89-52. The women's team overtook Knappa 32-19. The Nestucca Bobcats faced off against Columbia Christian in Cloverdale Friday night.
The mens team fell early to the Knights, failing to catch up, losing 57-31. But it was the previous game, the Women's Team, that proved to be the excitement for the night. Having trailed for most of the match, even making a few surges to tie the game, Nestucca was able to come back to gain the lead in the last quarter. As the clock ticked down, they were able to further their lead, winning 36-31. This win marked the first win of the season for the Lady Bobcats. Tonight both teams will be away, facing Gaston. Tillamook wrestlers saw quite a bit of success against Banks Thursday night at home. They aren't done yet with their home schedule, hosting the Gary Seaney Duals at 2pm at home on Friday. ![]() Tillamook hosted Philomath Friday night in their last non-league matchup of the season. The mens team opened the double header. Philomath was able to pull out ahead early against the Cheesemakers, a lead they would not lose. Tillamook was able to keep the game close most of the game, but the fourth quarter saw Philomath pull away to a 68 to 48 win. Tillamook women's basketball followed in the second matchup and faced a similar fate to the mens team. Philomath was able to gain an early advantage, pulling further and further ahead with each quarter. Lady Mooks fell 56 to 34. Tillamook will open Cowapa League play with a double header on Tuesday, 16th January at home against Banks.
