Bobcats Basketball hosted the City Christian Lions in a Friday night double header. The Lady Bobcats opened the match up.
The Bobcats were able to score early to gain a lead against the Lions, but it was a lead they would not be able to hold. The Lions strong defense was able to limit opportunities for the Bobcats. The Lions were able to take advantage of some lucky three point shots and free throws as they finished ahead, beating Nestucca 46-31.
The men's match up seemed to follow the fate of the women's game. The Lions defense was able to hold back the host team. The Bobcats struggled against the strong full court press. The Bobcats fell to City Christian, 63-38.
The Bobcats Women's Team are 4-8 for the season and 2-2 in league play.
The Bobcats Men's Team are 1-11 for the season and 0-4 in league play.
Tillamook's Men's basketball team had a rough Friday night at home hosting Gladstone. In their previous match up this season, Gladstone beat the Cheesemakers by a 30 point margin.
The visitors were able to take a good lead in the first quarter, but the Cheesemakers were able to level the playing field as the first quarter ended. The close battle would not remain as the two teams entered the second quarter, despite strong support and loud cheers from the stands. Gladstone was able to pull away and gain a lead they wouldn't lose, beating Tillamook 66-49.
Tillamook now sits at 2-10 for the season.
Tillamook's Women's Basketball team played away on Friday, visiting Gladstone. They lost 61-32.
The Lady Cheesemakers are 8-5 overall.
Neah-Kah-Nie Basketball played away on Friday night, visiting Columbia Christian.
The Mens team lost 74-34. They are 6-5 overall, 2-3 in league play.
The Women's team got the sole win out of all the schools on Friday night, beating Columbia Christian 29-23. They are 4-5 overall, 3-2 in league play.
