Tillamook snapped a 2 game losing streak on Friday, beating out Seaside 16-5. The win was also pay back for a loss to the Seagulls earlier in the week which saw the Cheesemakers fall 8-7.
The Cheesemakers hosted Astoria on Thursday, keeping the game tight, only to lose 9-8.
The next week will once again see Tillamook play 3 games (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). They will host Astoria again on Monday, face Banks at home on Wednesday, and have yet another face off against Seaside, which will be at home as well.
The Cheesemakers are 8-7 overall, with a 2-5 league record.
Neah-Kah-Nie hosted a Northwest League Track Meet last Thursday. Teams from Nestucca, Kappa, Vernonia, and Portland Christian travelled to participate.

The past two weeks have been busy for local Baseball and Softball teams.
Neah-Kah-Nie Baseball travelled to John Day over spring break where they played in the Grant Union Les Schwab Tournament. The Pirates experienced their first losses of the season, losing all 3 of their games.
They returned home to play on Wednesday against county rival, Nestucca High School. The matchup saw the Pirates return to winning form, beating out the Bobcats 15-5. The Pirates sit at 7-3 overall, with a 3-0 record in league play.
Bobcats Baseball also traveled to John Day for the Grant Union Les Schwab Tournament. They also struggled against their opponents, but managed to leave with a 1-2 tournament record. The Bobcats have a split record, 5-5 overall, 2-2 in league play.

The Tillamook Cheesemakers have gotten off to a rough start to their season. They lost their league opener on Wednesday to Banks in a close matchup. They managed to hold Banks to only 3 runs, but were only able to put 2 runs on the board. Pre-season play saw the Cheesemakers struggle, losing 7 of 9 non-league games. Their two wins came in tournaments played at Seaside High School and Magnolia High School (California). The Cheesemakers are 2-8 overall, 0-1 in league play.
Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates Softball played Vernonia and Sheridan over spring break, losing both match ups. The hosted Nestucca this past Tuesday, winning a tightly contested match up 19-16. This would be their first win of the season.
The Bobcats started the season strong, but have hit a rough patch, losing their past three match ups.
The Tillamook Cheesemakers fell to Banks 21-1 on Tuesday. They rebounded back to beat Seaside 11-5 on Thursday.
