7th ranked Banks High School left the Cheesemakers a bit bruised after a 15-0 beating today.
With a slow start to the game, Tillamook was able to hold the Braves to 3 runs in two innings. But it was the 3rd inning that proved to be painful for the Cheesemakers, allowing 7 runs in the top of the inning. They were unable to respond in the bottom of the inning, going into the 4th down 10 runs. Banks was able to put 3 more runs on the board in the 4th, and 2 more runs in the 5th, including a solo home run. Hoping for a miracle come back, Tillamook was unable to finish, losing 15-0 at the end of 5 due to the league mercy rule. Banks currently sits 2nd in the Cowapa League and is ranked 7th in OSAA 4A Division. Tillamook sits at the bottom of the Cowapa League, with a 1-9 league record. They have a 4-13 overall record. Tillamook travels to Valley Catholic on Thursday for a 5pm match up. They return home on Friday to face Seaside. On Monday, they will travel north to face Cowapa League's 1st place team, Astoria.
