Neah-Kah-Nie, Nestucca, and Tillamook all saw success on the field Friday night, each earning a win.
Neah-Kah-Nie travelled to Gaston to take on the Greyhounds. They played a tight match-up with a late score in the fourth quarter to secure their first win of the season. They topped the Greyhounds 20-14.
The Cheesemakers hosted Junction City. The Cheesemakers dominated the Tigers, winning 49-6. The Cheesemakers go to 3-0 on the season. They will be traveling the next two weeks: next week to Banks, then the week after to Molalla.
Nestucca hosted the Vernonia Loggers last night. The first quarter saw a couple fumbles and a failure to score by both teams. The Bobcats pulled together in the second quarter and began a scoring spree that the Loggers could not recover from. The Bobcats continued to pounce on the Loggers in the second half, winning 43-6. The win was much needed, having gone 0-2 in their first two games. They now sit 1-2 on the season.
Neah-Kah-Nie and Nestucca will face off at Neah-Kah-Nie next Friday at 7pm.
