There is the adage "It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings." The Cheesemakers took that to heart last Thursday against the Fishermen from Astoria.
Tillamook went into the half without a goal and down by 1. Although the second half started out relatively evenly, the Cheesemakers began putting pressure on Astoria's defense. With less than 10 minutes left in the match, Tillamook took advantage of Astoria's complaicency and scored. Not once. Not twice. But three times, all in a matter of a few minutes, leaving the Fishermen stunned.
The Cheesemakers walked away with their second league win, beating out Astoria 3-1.
Tillamook traveled to 7th ranked Seaside on Tuesday, but were not successful in finding the goal like they were against Astoria. They fell to Seaside 2-0. The loss was only their 3rd loss of the season and their first league loss.
Tillamook currently sits 6-3 overall and 2-1 in league play. They are ranked 19th in the 4A Classification.
