The Tillamook Cheesemakers faced tough competition at the 4A State Tournament in Forest Grove last weekend, which saw league rival Valley Catholic place first.
Tillamook lost it's first game to Cottage Grove in a tightly contested match that went to 5 sets. Having fallen 3 sets to 2, they were placed in the consolation column and had to wait until the next day to continue play. Saturday they faced Junction City, shutting them out 3 sets to none. That win allowed them to play one last match, where the faced Hidden Valley. Unfortunately their luck ran dry, falling 3 sets to 1. Their loss in this match placed the Cheesemakers at 6th place in the 4A State Championship.
